APPLICATION:
Cheese, Butter, and other Dairy Products. Our supplies to the dairy industry include aluminum foil for cheese & butter wrapping applications. These convertedlaminates are a combination of light gauge aluminum foils coated with heat seal lacquer or aluminum foil laminated with paper and further coated with heat seal lacquer. We provide complete foil wrapping solutions in consultation with our customer’s preferences.
REMOVE ANY PLASTIC WRAPPING
Packaging cheese with any plastic, whether it is cellophane or a bag, can prevent the cheese from breathing and accumulating excessive moisture. Sealing it in plastic changes the protective skin that holds the cheese and ultimately removes any flavor and texture.
USE CHEESE PAPER OR ALUMINIUM FOIL
Cover the cheese with wax paper and aluminum foil to preserve the cheese. This prevents it from drying out, allows it to breathe, and ensures that your cheese can be stored for as long as possible. Once wrapped, you should place the cheese in an airtight container to make sure it gets the proper moisture. Plastic containers can also prevent strong cheeses from emitting unpleasant smells and prevent stress and collisions. Soft cheeses, such as Brie and Camembert cheese, can be stored for several weeks if wrapped in wax paper under the right conditions, while hard cheeses like Cheddar and Parmesan cheese can be stored in aluminum foil.
